Beautiful portraits don’t just happen by gathering the family together and asking them to smile. A great portrait session involves planning. With proper clothing choices the chemistry of a great family is displayed in the final portrait.

  • It is vital in a family portrait that all members are properly coordinated. The best clothing is casual, comfortable and somewhat on the ordinary side. This is not the time to wear trendy clothing, tight short skirts, short, sleeveless shirts, tank tops or chunky shoes.
    
    
  • If some of your family members are a little heavier there are some ways to help them look their best. These family members need to be extra careful to make sure that their clothes fit well and are neither too tight or too large.

  • Shave before you leave for your portrait appointment or bring your cordless shaver. You know how fast your beard grows and if this is a requirement.
